LucaSports Video Library:
To date we have produced three videos to help you understand how to accurately evaluate the performance of the Black Spider webbed design v. the more traditional non-webbed glove design.
Click on the following links to activate these YouTube videos.
1) Deflection Test SetUp: The most dramatic area of performance for the Black Spider goalkeeper gloves is in deflection. In this video, you will see the Test Setup for what we call Point Blank Testing.
This is how we precisely test the Deflection Performance of Black Spider against other non-webbed models. Running time: 3:47 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOGqAfs0z_0
2) Deflection Freeze-Frames: This video shows the impact moments in freeze frames taken from the real-time video in original sequence, with narration.
The finger strength and grip demonstrated in deflection also increases the ability of Black Spider to hold onto balls more securely, parry with greater control, and throw further with more accuracy.
These functions are difficult to demonstrate objectively via video, but are very apparent when worn and used. Time: 6:02 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_f1nEkSrk8
3) Field Testing: This video shows the general test setup used by LucaSports, along with still pictures, videos and freeze-frame analysis of various field shots.
The webbed Black Spider glove is compared to different traditional, non-webbed, top-of-the-line models from major manufacturers. Running time: 2:52 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGmMtIBRjNM
4) Point Blank Testing: This video includes several freeze-frames of the impact moments, taking shots directly at the mouth of the SideKick shot cannon.
You will see the test setup, discussions of how the tests were designed and run, and real-time video followed by freeze-frame analysis of Black Spider v. Traditional non-webbed gloves. Running time: 9:33 minutes.

5) General Glove Test Procedures: This video shows how you can test any glove for catch, parry and deflection, using just a ball and a wall. Running time: 8:27 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r9sNDryp58
